Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not do with DeskWink. It protects you, other people and the service.
DeskWink gives an AI app access to a real computer. Please use that power only on your own terms, on your own computers, and in ways that are safe for other people.
1. Use DeskWink for your own work
You may use DeskWink to let an AI app that you control work with folders on computers that you own or are authorised to use. Follow the Terms of Service and the terms of the AI apps you connect.
2. Do not
- connect a computer, folder or account that you do not own and are not authorised to use, or use DeskWink to access someone else’s computer or data without their permission;
- use DeskWink to spread malware, to run ransomware, to steal data, to stalk or secretly monitor someone, or for any other unlawful or harmful purpose;
- use DeskWink to work around the usage limits, rules or security of an AI service, or of any other system;
- try to defeat DeskWink’s protections, for example the folder rules, the blocked-file list, the plan limits or the approval step, or build automation that approves changes or commands without a person reviewing them;
- probe, scan or test DeskWink’s systems except as the security page allows, or overload the Service;
- share your sign-in, pairing codes or access with other people, or resell or offer the Service to others as your own;
- use DeskWink to store, send or process content that is illegal where you live;
- impersonate another person or company, or mislead people about your connection to DeskWink; or
- use DeskWink where a failure could endanger life or safety.
3. You are responsible for your AI
You are responsible for what the AI apps you connect do through DeskWink, and for what you approve. If an AI app asks for something you did not expect, reject it, and revoke the app’s access in the console.
4. What we may do
If we believe this policy has been broken, we may warn you, limit what you can do, suspend or end your access, remove computers or AI connections, and report the matter to the authorities where the law allows or requires. Where it is reasonable and safe, we will tell you why.
5. Reporting
To report abuse of DeskWink, write to [email protected]. To report a security vulnerability, write to [email protected] and read the security page first.
